American Express will open its first Centurion Lounge in continental Europe at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on 17 September, expanding its premium lounge network to 33 locations worldwide. Located between Concourses E and F, the new lounge will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and is aimed at eligible cardmembers travelling through one of Europe’s busiest hubs.
The Amsterdam facility features Dutch-inspired interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows and amenities including a Blue Roast Coffee Bar, a full bar, a buffet with seasonal dishes, work areas, Wi‑Fi, power outlets and private restrooms. American Express is positioning the lounge as part of its broader Global Lounge Collection, with access limited to eligible card members.
For Schiphol, the opening adds a new non-airline premium lounge option and gives the airport its first globally branded credit-card lounge. The design draws on local art and cultural references, while the location in the terminal’s international area places the lounge close to key long-haul and connecting flows.
