Airbus opens new A320 Family delivery centre in Toulouse

Airbus has opened a new delivery centre at its Jean-Luc Lagardère site in Toulouse to increase handover capacity for the A320 Family, including the high-volume A320neo and A321neo variants. The move is intended to speed up aircraft deliveries and ease flows through the company’s commercial aircraft industrial system as it works through a large narrowbody backlog.

The new facility sits alongside Airbus’s expanded A320 Family production footprint in Toulouse, where output has been ramped up through additional final assembly capacity. By concentrating more delivery activity at the site, Airbus is aiming to improve throughput at one of its most important industrial hubs and better align handovers with rising production volumes.

The Toulouse site has become central to Airbus’s narrowbody strategy, particularly for the A321neo, which continues to account for a significant share of demand. Delivery infrastructure has become a key part of that effort, alongside assembly-line expansion, as the company works to keep pace with the strongest part of its commercial aircraft order book.
