Turkish Airlines has permanently dropped 11 previously suspended destinations from its future schedules, including Leipzig/Halle, in a broader network adjustment spanning Africa, Europe and Asia. The move shifts several routes from temporary suspension to long-term removal, affecting city pairs that had been expected to return in later seasons.
The destinations removed are Juba, Kinshasa, Libreville, Luanda, Lusaka, Billund, Fergana, Kirkuk, Leipzig/Halle, Najaf and Turkistan. Leipzig/Halle had earlier been expected to resume no sooner than the week of 27 March 2027, but it is now no longer in the timetable. Turkish Airlines is still planning to restore some suspended services, with Aqaba and Havana remaining scheduled to resume from 28 March 2027.
The changes matter for passengers and airport planning across multiple regions, particularly where Turkish Airlines has provided important long-haul or hub-feed connectivity. The latest timetable revision removes uncertainty for the affected routes, while leaving open the possibility that other suspended services could still return in future seasons.
