Lufthansa records Kühne Aviation stake above 20% after estate change

Deutsche Lufthansa has formally recorded that Kühne Aviation GmbH indirectly holds just over 20% of its voting rights, or 240.4 million shares, following an estate-related ownership change. The filing links the threshold crossing to the execution of Klaus-Michael Kühne’s will after his death and to the appointment of FROMER Services GmbH as executor.

The notification identifies Dr. Thomas Stähelin as the person at the top of the reporting chain, with the holding routed through FROMER Services, Kühne Holding AG and Kühne Aviation GmbH. It puts the stake at 20.000010065862% of voting rights, based on 240,416,700 shares out of a total 1,202,082,895 voting rights.

The disclosure is a governance filing rather than an operational airline update, and it formally confirms one of Lufthansa’s largest blockholder positions after the ownership attribution was updated. No fleet, route or earnings development is attached to the notice.
