United Airlines Ventures invests in Assaia to back StandManager

United Airlines Ventures has invested in Assaia, the airport operations technology company, to support development of its StandManager product for stand and gate management during aircraft turnarounds. The move links United’s venture arm with software designed to help airports and airlines allocate gates more efficiently and improve turnaround performance.

Assaia’s StandManager uses artificial intelligence to analyse live operational data and automate stand and gate planning. The system is aimed at reducing manual processes, improving resource use and helping airports respond more quickly to changing arrival times and operational conditions.

The investment fits United Airlines Ventures’ wider focus on early-stage companies in aviation infrastructure and technology. Assaia already works with airlines and airports on turnaround visibility and operational efficiency, and the new funding is set to support its next phase of product development and deployment. The announcement places renewed attention on airport-side efficiency tools as carriers and hubs face pressure to improve punctuality and use constrained infrastructure more effectively.
