AirAsia X is preparing to launch its first codeshare with Pegasus Airlines in September, placing its D7 code on selected Pegasus-operated flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen to Ankara, Athens, London Stansted, Moscow Vnukovo and Zurich. The move comes as the long-haul low-cost carrier reshapes its network, with Delhi due to be removed from its schedule from late October and Seoul flying handed to AirAsia later in the fourth quarter.
The Pegasus partnership extends AirAsia X’s reach into Europe and the Middle East without adding operated capacity, while also giving the airline a new feed option via Pegasus’ Turkish hub. The initial codeshare set-up is expected to cover five routes and would be AirAsia X’s first such agreement.
The Delhi withdrawal, effective from 25 October, ends the carrier’s only India route and follows a period of capacity trimming on the long-haul network. Separate schedule changes show Seoul moving from AirAsia X to AirAsia in early fourth quarter 2026, with the smaller narrowbody operation replacing the widebody service on the Kuala Lumpur–Seoul Incheon route.
