Singapore Airlines unveils long-haul cabins in S$2 billion renewal

Singapore Airlines has unveiled new First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins for its long-haul fleet, with more than S$2 billion committed to the programme. The products are scheduled to enter service progressively from the second half of 2027 on 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range aircraft, and the airline’s incoming Boeing 777-9s. The 777-9 will receive all four cabin products; A350 changes vary by aircraft type.

The A350-900 long-haul fleet will be fitted with new Business Class seats. The A350-900ULR will receive new First and Business Class cabins, introducing First Class to that fleet. The airline operates the ULR aircraft on ultra-long-haul routes, including services to New York.

The First Class suites feature curved sliding doors, companion dining and seats that can be arranged as a two-person sofa or double bed. Business Class adds sliding privacy doors, adjustable dividers between centre seats and full-flat beds measuring up to 79 inches long and 24 inches wide.

The new Premium Economy and Economy products are planned for the 777-9, alongside the new premium cabins. Singapore Airlines has not specified the sequence of aircraft or routes for the rollout. The products remain planned for future introduction; they are not yet in service.
