Air Congo has replaced the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 787-8 on its Kinshasa–Brussels–Paris Charles de Gaulle service with a MIAT Mongolian Airlines Boeing 787-9. The leased aircraft began operating the route on 31 October, providing capacity for Air Congo’s European flights. The service continues to operate five days a week, with no flights on Mondays or Thursdays; the aircraft change is not a new route or a frequency increase.
Chapman Freeborn arranged the lease of the 292-seat aircraft, configured with 30 business-class seats, 36 in premium economy and 226 in economy. The service operates from Kinshasa via Brussels to Paris before returning to Kinshasa.
No lease terms or end date for the aircraft’s deployment have been reported, so it is not clear how long the 787-9 will remain on the route.
