Wizz Air will restore services to Dubai and Abu Dhabi from late October, bringing back Middle East flying with 12 routes and 49 weekly frequencies across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. The low-cost carrier is resuming direct links to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Amman after a year-long gap in its Abu Dhabi network.
The restart follows the shutdown of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi in September 2025 and comes as the group rebuilds leisure demand in the region for the winter season. Initial schedules point to a 24/25 October relaunch window, although the airline has not yet released a full route-by-route breakdown or confirmed which of its European operating units will run each service.
Early schedule details indicate Dubai will be served from Budapest five times a week and from Bucharest daily, while Abu Dhabi is set to regain links with Budapest, Larnaca, Krakow, Katowice, Sofia and Cluj-Napoca. The restored programme is expected to add about 470,000 winter seats, widening low-cost connectivity between Europe and the Gulf after a prolonged absence.
