Wizz Air has set a target to carry 127 million passengers a year by fiscal 2030, almost double the 69.7 million it carried in fiscal 2026, as part of a medium-term plan unveiled on Wednesday. The Budapest-based low-cost carrier also outlined goals for €10 billion in revenue, a 10% EBIT margin and an all-neo fleet of 335 aircraft, up from 269 now.
Chief executive József Váradi presented the targets to analysts and investors at the airline’s Capital Markets Day, with the plan centred on continued expansion in core Central and Eastern European markets and selected new routes. Wizz Air is also working through near-term pressure: it has cut planned second-half capacity by 5% because of higher fuel costs and wider industry headwinds.
The passenger target points to a much larger network and fleet footprint within four years, with the carrier seeking to deepen its position among Europe’s ultra-low-cost airlines while continuing to modernise its fleet. Wizz Air carried 69.7 million passengers in fiscal 2026 and has made the neo family central to its growth strategy.
