Wizz Air will expand its Pristina operation by adding a second based aircraft at Pristina Airport and launching five new routes from the Kosovo capital. The programme will connect Pristina with Berlin, Hamburg, Hahn near Frankfurt, Malmö and Trieste, with services due to begin in mid-December and frequencies ranging from two to four weekly flights.
The expansion goes beyond Wizz Air’s earlier plan to open a Pristina base with one Airbus A321neo in November 2026. The airline now intends to start with two aircraft in the city, signalling a larger commitment to the market before the base is even operational.
Berlin and Hahn are scheduled to begin on 14 December, with three weekly flights to Berlin and four to Hahn. Hamburg and Malmö are set to follow on 15 December, each with four and three weekly frequencies respectively, while Trieste will operate twice weekly from the same date.
Kosovo’s infrastructure ministry described the move as a sign of confidence from foreign investors and linked the new links to better travel options for tourism, business and the wider economy.
