Vietjet and Satair, an Airbus Services company, have exchanged a strategic memorandum of understanding to broaden cooperation supporting the Vietnamese airline’s growing Airbus fleet. The agreement was concluded in Copenhagen during the Vietnam-Denmark Business Forum and covers aviation supply-chain management, material services, aircraft lifecycle solutions and technical support, including planned capabilities at Long Thanh International Airport.
The partnership builds on an existing Integrated Material Services programme for Vietjet’s Airbus fleet. A joint working group will develop a cooperation roadmap covering expanded IMS, material availability, procurement, demand forecasting and inventory positioning, alongside digital integration and maintenance-planning support.
At Long Thanh, the companies will explore consignment arrangements, material supply and aviation logistics linked to Vietjet’s planned operational facilities. Other areas include used serviceable material, component repair and exchange, surplus-inventory management, regional stock positioning and emergency logistics for aircraft-on-ground situations.
The framework also provides for training and professional development to strengthen aviation supply-chain and technical expertise in Vietnam. The MOU does not disclose a contract value, implementation timetable or quantified fleet-support commitment, and does not itself constitute a finalized purchase or binding supply agreement.
