FlyBIS orders up to 12 Eve eVTOLs for southern Brazil

Eve Air Mobility and Brazilian operator FlyBIS Aviation have signed a binding agreement covering up to 12 electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft for planned operations in southern Brazil. The deal includes two firm orders, with purchase rights for ten more. FlyBIS is considering routes linking destinations in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, including coastal cities and tourist areas inland.

The potential network includes Navegantes, Balneário Camboriú and Florianópolis, as well as Gramado and Bento Gonçalves. These are routes under consideration, not confirmed services. The companies will continue work on network planning, operational preparation, infrastructure and integration with the wider transport system.

The agreement formalises a relationship that began with a 2022 letter of intent, which contemplated up to 40 aircraft. The new commitment is smaller, with two aircraft ordered firmly and the balance subject to purchase rights. No start date for commercial operations has been provided. Eve’s aircraft must still complete development and certification before entering service.
