U.S. aviation fuel prices kept climbing in the latest iFlightPlanner survey, with full-service Jet-A averaging $7.97 per gallon nationwide and $7.90 across the contiguous 48 states. The central U.S. posted the sharpest monthly rise, while New England recorded the highest full-service Jet-A average at $8.19 per gallon. Avgas also moved higher, with the self-service and full-service pricing gap narrowing.
Full-service Jet-A rose 17 cents month on month nationally and 18 cents in the lower 48 states. In the central region, prices increased by 25 cents, the largest regional gain in the survey. iFlightPlanner’s data covered more than 3,000 FBOs and fuel service providers, giving the figures wide relevance for business aviation operators and flight planning.
Full-service 100LL climbed 3 cents to $7.54 per gallon, while self-service 100LL increased 38 cents to $6.84. Self-service avgas still offered a 9% discount to full-service fuel, down from 14% in July, indicating a smaller pricing advantage for aircraft operators that can refuel themselves.
