T’way Air rebrands as Trinity Airways and launches first flights under new name

South Korea’s T’way Air began operating as Trinity Airways on Thursday, with the first services under the new brand departing Daegu for Jeju and Incheon for Narita. The launch coincides with the carrier’s shift from a low-cost model to a selective-service carrier structure, while keeping its TW flight code, booking conditions and airport counter locations unchanged.

The first domestic flight, TW801, left Daegu International Airport at 6:10 a.m., followed by the first international service, TW237, which departed Incheon International Airport for Narita at 6:55 a.m. A newly painted Boeing 737-8 in Trinity Airways colours had already entered service ahead of the debut, signalling the visual transition before the formal changeover.

Trinity Airways is rolling out its new identity across aircraft livery, uniforms, its website, mobile app and airport counters. The airline’s selective-service carrier strategy retains low fares on short-haul routes while expanding higher-touch service on medium- and long-haul flights, including upgraded in-flight service and premium-style customer touchpoints. Narita Airport also posted notice of the rebrand as the airline started using its new name in public-facing operations.
