StandardAero has signed an exclusive TEAM™ engine time-and-material support agreement with Romanian flag carrier TAROM, covering the airline’s ATR 72-600 and ATR 72-500 regional turboprops. Powered by RTX Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M engines, the aircraft will receive ongoing maintenance, repair and overhaul support from StandardAero’s facilities in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, and Gonesse, France.
The agreement extends a long-running relationship between the two companies and is intended to support the continued safe and reliable operation of TAROM’s ATR fleet. The TEAM™ arrangement provides continuing engine support rather than a single overhaul event or engine delivery.
StandardAero describes itself as the largest independent Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 Designated Overhaul Facility. Its PW100 network includes component repair, rental engines, field service and engine-condition trend monitoring. The company has supported PW100 operators for more than 40 years and became the engine family’s first independent MRO provider in 1984.
The agreement’s financial value, duration, covered engine quantity and expected maintenance volumes were not disclosed.
