StandardAero, GMR Aero Technic expand engine support in India

StandardAero has signed a Supplier Service Agreement with GMR Aero Technic to expand on-wing engine support for operators in India, starting with CFM International CFM56-7B, LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. The partnership is designed to bring specialised support closer to airline bases and improve turnaround times for narrowbody fleets.

The collaboration combines StandardAero’s engine aftermarket expertise with GMR Aero Technic’s MRO infrastructure and local presence. StandardAero described GMR Aero Technic as India’s largest third-party MRO service provider, and the agreement also positions it as an authorised service centre for on-wing engine support across Asia-Pacific.

Planned services include engine and module replacement, borescope inspections, fan blade and fuel nozzle replacement, gearbox changes, engine preservation and storage, quick engine change build-up, ECU software upgrades, engine logistics support and engine change services. StandardAero already supports Indian operators with LEAP-1B, AE 3007A and PW127 engines, and the new agreement builds on that existing footprint as India’s commercial aviation market continues to grow.
