Biman adds 11 Boeing jets in second order this year

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has ordered 11 more Boeing aircraft, expanding its 2026 purchase programme to 25 jets. The deal includes five 787-10 Dreamliners and six 737-8s and was unveiled in New York during the UN General Assembly, with Biman Chairman Rumee A Hossain representing the airline.

The new order follows Biman’s earlier agreement this year for 14 Boeing aircraft, its largest to date. Together, the two deals deepen the carrier’s fleet renewal and network expansion plans, supporting additional long-haul capacity and a more efficient single-aisle operation.

Boeing highlighted the range, capacity and fleet commonality benefits of the 737-8 and 787-10 for Biman’s existing operations. Public details on delivery timing, pricing and financing for the latest order have not been disclosed.
