Smartwings has extended its flight partnership with TUI for another three years, keeping the Czech carrier in place as a key transport provider for the travel group’s holiday customers. The renewed deal covers leisure flying on Smartwings aircraft to destinations in the Mediterranean, Egypt and Turkey, with operations spanning both summer and winter seasons.
The agreement continues an established cooperation rather than launching a new route programme. For TUI, it secures additional capacity for package-holiday travellers across a broad network of sun destinations. For Smartwings, the contract supports its position in the holiday-airline segment and preserves a long-running commercial relationship with one of Europe’s largest tour operators.
The partnership comes as European leisure travel groups continue to rely on third-party airlines for seasonal flying needs. The arrangement also underlines the importance of flexible capacity in markets where demand shifts sharply between summer and winter schedules, particularly on routes serving resorts in southern Europe and North Africa.
