Ryanair to offer 3.3 million seats from Alicante this winter

Ryanair will operate more than 3.3 million seats to and from Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport during the 2026–2027 winter season, maintaining broadly stable capacity while expanding the programme to 79 routes. The schedule adds four connections to Catania, Venice Marco Polo, Friedrichshafen and Saarbrücken, with most flights supported by 15 aircraft based at the Spanish airport.

The new Catania service will operate five times weekly, while Venice will receive three weekly flights. Friedrichshafen and Saarbrücken will each be served twice a week. Frequencies will also increase on 28 existing routes, including services to Lisbon, Rome, Kaunas, Pardubice and Poznan.

Ryanair’s Alicante operation represents a company-stated investment of $1.5 billion and supports more than 7,200 local jobs. The strongest growth will be concentrated on Italian and German routes, alongside increases of 58% in Portugal, 30% in the Czech Republic and 31% in Lithuania.

The planned capacity covers flights from late October 2026 through late March 2027 and represents scheduled seats rather than realised passenger traffic. A limited fare promotion from €19.99 is available for bookings made by 23 October.
