Russian Progress MS-35 docks with ISS to deliver supplies and station hardware

Russia’s Progress MS-35 cargo spacecraft docked with the International Space Station on 19 September, delivering about three tonnes of supplies to support crew operations and station maintenance. The uncrewed vehicle linked up with the Poisk module on the Russian segment of the orbital outpost after launching from Baikonur three days earlier.

The shipment included food, fuel, water, oxygen and equipment for scientific work aboard the station. It also carried hardware linked to Russia’s Teledroid space robot, including a control system and workstation. The spacecraft is expected to remain attached to the ISS for about five months before being loaded with waste and sent to burn up in the atmosphere. The mission provides routine logistics support for the station’s resident crew and ongoing research programme.
