Pratt & Whitney to expand Poland tubular assemblies plant with $25 million investment

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, will invest $25 million to expand its manufacturing site in Niepołomice, Poland, adding capacity for complex tubular assemblies used in commercial and military engines including the GTF, PW800 and F135. The project is due to be operational in 2028 and is expected to create more than 120 jobs, with support from the Polish government through the Polish Investment Zone Programme.

The Niepołomice plant already supplies parts for several Pratt & Whitney engine programmes, placing the expansion within the company’s wider civil and defence propulsion network. Local government and technology park filings in Poland point to a new investment decision for Pratt & Whitney Tubes in Niepołomice, indicating public support for a project valued at more than PLN 76 million and aligning with the same expansion. The move adds capacity at a site that already plays a role in high-precision engine component production for multiple engine lines.
