Centralny Port Komunikacyjny is planning a dedicated goods distribution centre for the future terminal at Port Polska, the new airport project in central Poland, and has commissioned Cundall Polska to prepare the design documentation. The facility will centralise deliveries for shops, restaurants and cafés in the passenger terminal, handling receipt, security checks, temporary storage and onward distribution.
The project adds a specific logistics layer to the airport concept as CPK expands work beyond runways and terminal planning into operational support infrastructure. The planned building is expected to function as a warehouse, transshipment and logistics facility for terminal supply flows, giving the airport a controlled landside route for retail and catering deliveries.
Reporting on the project describes it as another step in the wider development of Poland’s flagship airport scheme between Warsaw and Łódź. While no construction timetable, budget, size or procurement schedule has been disclosed, the move underlines the early integration of supply-chain planning into the airport’s design.
