Pilatus has secured FAA and EASA approval for Garmin Autoland on the PC-12 PRO, bringing the Safety Autoland system to the latest version of its business turboprop. The feature is standard equipment on the aircraft, which uses Garmin’s G3000 Prime integrated flight deck, and the approval forms part of the PC-12 PRO’s final certification campaign.
The system was tested through a full end-to-end sequence, including activation, communication with air traffic control, the landing itself and engine shutdown. That verification underlines the maturity of the automated emergency-landing capability now available on a major single-engine turboprop used by owner-operators and business aviation customers.
Dual certification from the two regulators broadens the aircraft’s operational and commercial appeal, particularly for buyers placing a premium on onboard safety systems. The PC-12 PRO’s avionics and emergency-landing package position it as one of the most advanced variants of Pilatus’s long-running platform.
