Nile Air outlines fleet and network plans

Nile Air has outlined plans to double its fleet and broaden its route network as it steps up expansion efforts during the Egypt airshow period in September. The Egyptian carrier is focusing on growth in Europe and the Middle East, with two additional aircraft expected by the first quarter of 2027 and further destination additions under discussion.

The strategy centres on adding capacity while refreshing the network and supporting digital and infrastructure upgrades. Nile Air currently operates a mixed Airbus narrowbody fleet, giving it scope to adjust capacity across short- and medium-haul markets as it pursues new routes and stronger connectivity.

The airline’s pavilion activity included meetings with Egypt’s civil aviation minister, underscoring the wider industry and government attention around the expansion plans. Future route announcements are expected soon as the carrier builds flexibility for a broader passenger base and a more competitive market position.
