MAAS Aviation has appointed Edwin Poldermans as Head of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), giving him responsibility for the aircraft-painting specialist’s MRO activities and day-to-day operations. Poldermans brings more than 30 years of aviation and aerospace experience to the role, which will support the company’s services for airlines, original equipment manufacturers and private-jet operators.
Poldermans has held senior positions at Fokker Techniek, GKN Fokker and the Netherlands Aerospace Group. He joins MAAS as the business develops its operational capabilities and responds to changing customer requirements across aircraft painting and exterior coating.
Group Chief Operating Officer Mark Gidman is preparing to step back after 36 years with the company. He will remain involved as a shareholder and special adviser, while operational responsibility transfers to Poldermans. The transition preserves Gidman’s continuing involvement while placing the company’s MRO leadership and daily management under Poldermans.
