Japan Airlines extends Embraer parts support deal for E170 and E190 fleet

Japan Airlines has extended its long-running Pool Program agreement with Embraer for support of its fleet of 32 E170 and E190 aircraft. The multi-year arrangement covers maintenance, repair and spare-parts services for the E-Jets fleet, with repairable components and parts stock positioned close to the airline’s operations to speed access to critical items and reduce disruptions.

The renewed deal keeps the focus on operational reliability rather than fleet growth, with the support package designed to cover a broad range of components used on the aircraft. Embraer’s Pool Program is intended to reduce turnaround times for spare parts and limit the need for Japan Airlines to carry extensive inventories on its own.

The extension reflects a continuation of an existing partnership between the two companies. No financial terms, contract length or change in scope beyond standard Pool Program support were disclosed.
