ITA Airways recorded EBIT of €98 million in the first nine months of 2026, 65% more than a year earlier, as revenue rose 4% to more than €2.5 billion. Third-quarter revenue reached €995 million, up 6%, while EBIT remained unchanged at €94 million. The operating figures do not represent net profit, which continued to be affected by foreign-exchange movements on the airline’s liabilities and receivables.
Geopolitical tensions and higher jet-fuel prices weighed on the sector during the period. ITA had hedged more than 80% of its fuel requirements for 2026, limiting its exposure to price movements.
The exchange-rate effects, mainly involving US-dollar-denominated items, are non-operating and therefore distinct from the reported EBIT. No further breakdown of the nine-month results was available.
