Hungary Airlines is selling its Airbus A330-243P2F registered HA-ZTO, with the freighter set to leave the carrier’s operation once the transaction closes. The aircraft is owned by Hong Kong-based ZTO Airlines, while Hungary Airlines has operated it and will remain responsible for airworthiness until the sale is completed.
The move is part of a wider adjustment to the carrier’s cargo fleet and operating model in Budapest. The A330-243P2F, a converted passenger aircraft, will no longer form part of Hungary Airlines’ long-term plan, even as the airline continues to run the jet during the transition.
Separately, Hungary Airlines is preparing to bring its state-owned Airbus A330-243F HA-LHU back into full service after a C-check delayed by supply-chain issues. The aircraft is expected to return at the end of September, restoring capacity as the airline reshapes its freighter lineup.
