Etihad Airways has unveiled a new cabin concept for its Airbus A330neo, giving the widebody a three-class layout with four First suites at the front, 24 Business seats and 252 Economy seats. Presented at Arabian Travel Market in the UAE, the design forms part of Etihad’s broader “Beyond Borders” product direction and will begin entering service from September 2027, when the first A330neo is due to join the fleet.
The First suites use an enlarged Thompson Aero Seating Vantage XL platform and include sliding privacy doors, companion dining space, 32-inch screens, wireless charging and a personal powder station. Business Class also features sliding doors, direct aisle access and 17.3-inch screens, while Economy includes 13.3-inch 4K touchscreens and a 32-seat extra-legroom section. Etihad plans to take delivery of 15 A330s over five years, extending its premium strategy beyond the A380 and into regional and medium-haul markets where First Class is rarely offered.
