Embraer delivers first C-390 to Uzbekistan Air Force

Embraer has delivered the first C-390 Millennium transport aircraft to the Uzbekistan Air Force at its facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil. The handover took place during an official ceremony attended by Uzbekistan Air Force commander Maj.-Gen. Akhmad Jamolovich Burkhonov and Olimkhon Bakiyevich Rustamov of the state institution O’ztextreyd, as Uzbekistan becomes the first C-390 operator in Central Asia.

The aircraft follows a contract signed at the end of 2024 that also covers training, support and spare parts. The package goes beyond the airframe itself, reflecting the broader logistics and readiness support needed to introduce a new military transport type into service.

For Embraer, the delivery adds another international customer to the C-390 fleet and extends the aircraft’s export reach into Central Asia. For Uzbekistan, it provides a modern medium tactical airlift platform for military transport and related missions as the country expands and refreshes its air mobility capabilities.
