Embraer has delivered its 2,000th E-Jet, handing over an E195-E2 to Azul Linhas Aéreas in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The aircraft was also Azul’s 50th E2 jet, as the E-Jet family moved past another major production milestone and strengthened its position among the world’s largest commercial aircraft families.
The E-Jet programme entered commercial service in 2004 and now operates with more than 90 airlines in over 60 countries. The latest delivery underlines the continued demand for Embraer’s small and medium jet line, which has become a core part of short- and medium-haul fleets worldwide.
The E195-E2 is the largest member of the second-generation E2 family and remains central to Azul’s fleet renewal and network strategy. The delivery also highlights Brazil’s role as both the production base and a key market for Embraer’s commercial aircraft business.
