Embraer and ANA Holdings have finalised an order for eight additional E190-E2 aircraft, lifting ANA’s firm commitment for the regional jet to 23 aircraft. The latest deal formalises a fleet expansion first outlined in July and keeps five options in place, with deliveries due to start in 2028.
The order follows ANA’s original 2025 commitment for 15 E190-E2s, which marked the Japanese group’s first purchase of Embraer aircraft. ANA Holdings approved the extra aircraft at a board meeting on 29 July 2026, as part of a broader regional fleet strategy.
The E190-E2s are expected to support ANA’s domestic operations through regional partner IBEX Airlines under an ACMI arrangement. The aircraft are scheduled to arrive from fiscal 2029 through 2032, extending Embraer’s foothold in the Japanese market and adding to its E2 backlog.
