Dassault Aviation has flown the Falcon 10X for the first time, opening the test campaign for its new ultra-long-range flagship. The twin-engine jet departed Bordeaux-Mérignac, spent 2 hours 30 minutes aloft, reached 40,000 feet and Mach 0.82, then landed back at the company’s main industrial base.
The sortie was handled by test pilot Sébastien Dupont de Dinechin and copilot Fabrice Dougnac. Dassault says a second test aircraft is nearing completion, while a third will carry a full interior for systems and cabin reliability work. The 19-seat jet is targeted at 7,500 nm range and Mach 0.925, with certification and entry into service still aimed for 2027.
