Boeing and Korean Air have finalised a record order for 103 aircraft in Seoul, with the fleet package covering 20 777-9s, 25 787-10s, 50 737-10s and eight 777-8 Freighters. The deal is Korean Air’s largest aircraft purchase and converts a procurement commitment first outlined in August 2025 into a firm order.
The aircraft portion is valued at $36.2 billion at list prices, while the broader package reaches about $44.8 billion including engines and maintenance. Korean Air also secured agreements with GE Aerospace and CFM International for 21 spare engines and a 15-year maintenance arrangement covering 28 aircraft.
The mix of widebody, freighter and single-aisle jets supports Korean Air’s long-haul, cargo and short-haul renewal plans as it expands its post-Asiana fleet strategy. Boeing linked the transaction to bilateral trade ties between the United States and South Korea, while the order also strengthens the planemaker’s backlog at a time of intense competition for major airline campaigns.
