BermudAir to become second operator of Embraer E190F freighter

BermudAir will become the world’s second operator of Embraer’s E190F converted freighter and the first in the Americas, leasing one aircraft from Regional One as it expands beyond passenger services into cargo. The Bermuda-based airline’s addition comes as Embraer extends the E-Freighter programme beyond its existing European user base.

The aircraft will give BermudAir a dedicated freighter alongside its passenger network, which currently covers ten destinations across the Caribbean, the United States and Canada. BermudAir already operates two E175s and two E190s, and the new freighter will complement that fleet with cargo capacity for express and time-sensitive shipments.

Regional One’s placement gives the lessor another firm commitment for the E190F, with five orders for the type in total. The programme has now moved from its initial launch phase into broader commercial use, with Bridges Air Cargo previously operating the only other E190F aircraft in service before BermudAir’s entry.
