The Bahrain International Airshow has been moved from November 2026 to 15-17 November 2028, with organisers citing ongoing Middle East instability for the two-year delay. The eighth edition will no longer take place at Sakhir air base near Manama as planned this year, altering the timetable for one of the region’s key aviation and defence exhibitions.
The show’s supreme organising committee framed the change as a way to improve conditions for wider international participation, including visitors, exhibitors, delegations and industry partners. The airshow is normally held every two years, and the shift breaks the expected 2026 cycle rather than simply moving the event to another date within the same year.
The decision affects planning across the aviation and defence supply chain, where the Bahrain event is used for regional networking, sales activity and government engagement. Manufacturers, suppliers and military delegations that had been preparing for a November 2026 showcase will now need to adjust exhibition calendars and commercial schedules to the 2028 dates.
