The Bahrain International Airshow has been moved from 18-20 November 2026 to 15-17 November 2028, removing Bahrain’s flagship aviation and defence trade show from next year’s regional events calendar. The Supreme Organising Committee shifted the eighth edition of the biennial event at Sakhir Air Base near Manama after careful consideration, with preparations for the 2028 show set to continue alongside stakeholders and the wider aerospace community.
The postponement comes against continuing instability in the Middle East and concerns over broader international participation. Several aviation and business outlets reported the same change in dates over 7-9 September, indicating broad agreement on the revised schedule.
The decision affects exhibitors, delegations and companies that had planned around the 2026 gathering, which is a key platform for military and commercial aviation dealmaking in the Gulf. The event had been scheduled for November 2026 before being pushed back by two years, leaving a gap in the biennial cycle until the next edition in November 2028.
