Azul has launched a new nonstop domestic service between Campinas/Viracopos and Boa Vista, using an Airbus A320 with 174 seats. The route began on 31 August and is scheduled four times a week in each direction, with the westbound service described as Brazil’s longest domestic flight by scheduled duration.
The Campinas departure operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while Boa Vista departures run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The first southbound flight leaves Campinas on Monday night and the return leg reaches Boa Vista early on Tuesday.
The service gives Boa Vista a direct link to Azul’s Campinas hub, removing the need for a connection on a route that stretches from São Paulo state to Brazil’s far north. Coverage of the launch places the scheduled block time at up to 4 hours 45 minutes, longer than other domestic sectors in the country.
