Austrian Airlines sells last three Boeing 767s for part-out in Arizona

Austrian Airlines has sold its last three Boeing 767-300ERs to Cobra Aviation Services LLC, with the aircraft destined for part-out in Arizona. OE-LAZ is due to move first in October, while OE-LAE and OE-LAY are scheduled to follow towards the end of the year, and the purchase price remains confidential.

The deal closes the carrier’s Boeing 767 chapter after 38 years of operation with the type. The aircraft will not remain in airline service and instead will be dismantled for spare-parts recovery, underscoring Austrian’s ongoing long-haul fleet simplification. Aviation Week identified the sale and quoted an Austrian Airlines official on the transfer timetable, while aeroTELEGRAPH reported the same buyer and disposal plan.
