All Nippon Airways has launched its Green Pokémon Jet, a Boeing 787-9 registered JA923A, on its first commercial international flight from Tokyo Haneda to Honolulu. The special-livery aircraft departed on ANA flight NH186 and entered scheduled service on 18 September, with the inaugural sector carrying 246 passengers and seven infants.
The aircraft was unveiled at Haneda earlier the same day and forms part of ANA’s three-aircraft Pokémon programme tied to the franchise’s 30th anniversary and ANA’s 40 years of international services. It is the second jet in the series, following the Red Pokémon Jet already in operation.
ANA has assigned the Green Pokémon Jet to international routes through 27 March 2027, with planned use across a pool of 15 long-haul and medium-haul services from Haneda and Narita. The routes include destinations in North America, Asia and Australia, although specific sector assignments may change depending on operating conditions.
