ANA names merged cargo brand ANA Nippon Cargo for 2027 launch

ANA Holdings has named the brand for its planned integrated cargo airline ANA Nippon Cargo, with the formal company name set to become ANA Nippon Cargo Airlines Co., Ltd. The new operation will bring together ANA Cargo, Nippon Cargo Airlines and NCA Japan from 1 April 2027, creating a single freight platform for the ANA Group.

The carrier will initially continue under the existing Nippon Cargo Airlines company name when it starts, with the legal name change to follow later, subject to regulatory approvals. The move is part of ANA’s wider effort to strengthen its air cargo business by consolidating three units into one structure and improving scale, competitiveness and network reach.

ANA had already set out the merger plan earlier in 2026, but this latest step gives the combined operation its public brand identity. NCA is expected to retain its operating certificate at launch, while the new branding will be rolled out from the integration date.
