ANA Holdings names new cargo airline ANA Nippon Cargo for April 2027 launch

ANA Holdings has named its new consolidated cargo airline ANA Nippon Cargo, with the carrier scheduled to begin operations on 1 April 2027. The new brand will bring together ANA Cargo, Nippon Cargo Airlines and NCA Japan under one cargo platform as the Japanese group deepens its freight-focused restructuring.

The formal corporate name will be ANA Nippon Cargo Airlines Co., Ltd., although the existing Nippon Cargo Airlines name is set to remain initially. A full company-name change is targeted for the second half of fiscal 2027 or later, pending approval. ANA is using the consolidation to unify its cargo business and strengthen capacity and competitiveness in global air freight.

The reorganisation follows an earlier integration plan unveiled in March 2026, when ANA Holdings laid out a broader cargo business overhaul. Public details on fleet plans, network changes and the full brand rollout remain limited, with further information expected closer to launch.
