Air France expands La Première to more US routes

Air France will extend its La Première first-class cabin to additional US routes over the next 18 months, with Boston among the new destinations and more capacity planned on existing premium services to New York-JFK and Los Angeles. The gradual rollout will widen the carrier’s flagship first-class presence in its key transatlantic market as demand for high-end long-haul travel remains strong.

The expansion follows a broader push into premium international flying and concentrates scarce first-class capacity on routes where demand is strongest. New York-JFK is set to increase from four to five daily flights with the La Première product, while Los Angeles will also receive higher capacity. Air France-KLM chief executive Ben Smith outlined the move as part of the airline’s strategy to lean further into premium travel demand. Boston has been identified as a new destination, although the full route list has not been disclosed. The rollout is expected to continue progressively rather than all at once.
