Air Cambodia has signed a purchase deal for 20 COMAC C909 regional jets, with the aircraft scheduled to enter service in late 2026. The agreement gives the airline a firm path to expand its fleet with Chinese-built regional aircraft as it works to strengthen domestic and short-haul operations.
The order places Air Cambodia among the more significant foreign operators to commit to the C909 programme. The aircraft is expected to support the carrier’s network development and wider fleet modernisation plans, though the airline has not disclosed delivery timing, financing terms or the routes the jets will serve.
The C909, developed by Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, has been marketed by COMAC for regional and feeder services. Air Cambodia’s commitment adds to the programme’s international commercial momentum at a time when the manufacturer is seeking wider adoption beyond its home market.
