Air Arabia-backed Saudi carrier to launch Dammam domestic flights on 20 September

Air Arabia’s Saudi-backed carrier will begin operations from King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on 20 September, opening domestic services to Riyadh, Jeddah and Madinah. The new operation has received its air operator certificate and will start with twice-daily flights to Riyadh and Jeddah, alongside a daily service to Madinah.

The launch gives Saudi Arabia an additional low-cost option from the Eastern Province, where demand for domestic air travel has grown alongside the kingdom’s wider aviation expansion plans. The carrier is backed by a Saudi consortium and supported by the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services.

Initial bookings were already available through Air Arabia channels and travel agencies. The carrier has set out plans to expand to 24 domestic and 57 international destinations by 2030, with an annual target of about 10 million passengers.
