AerCap leases two 777-300ERSF freighters to Turkish Airlines

AerCap has signed lease agreements with Turkish Airlines for two Boeing 777-300ERSF converted freighters, with deliveries scheduled between March and September 2027. Before delivery, both aircraft will undergo passenger-to-freighter conversion at Etihad Engineering’s maintenance, repair and overhaul hub in Abu Dhabi. The aircraft will add cargo capacity to Turkish Airlines’ fleet; lease durations and financial terms were not disclosed.

The conversions will take place at a facility AerCap describes as a regional platform for serving customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The delivery window is a schedule, not a confirmation of entry into service, and no precise operational dates have been released.

The Turkish Airlines agreements add to AerCap’s placements for the 777-300ERSF. The lessor delivered the first aircraft to launch customer Kalitta Air in September 2025 and subsequently delivered aircraft to Fly Meta. It has also signed leases for the type with Ethiopian Airlines and China Southern Group.
