Lufthansa Group postpones Dubai return by one month

Lufthansa Group has postponed the planned resumption of flights to Dubai until 25 November 2026, citing the current situation and outlook in the Middle East. Lufthansa and SWISS had been scheduled to restart services on 25 October, while Eurowings was due to resume flights on 1 November. Affected passengers will be offered flexible rebooking or a full ticket refund.

The group’s airlines suspended Dubai services in March amid the Iran war. The delayed restart had been planned as part of the 2026/27 winter schedule, including Eurowings’ daily Berlin-Dubai operation. The 25 November date is a target rather than a guaranteed final restart date, as the regional security situation remains subject to change.

Eurowings had already withdrawn planned services from Cologne/Bonn and Stuttgart, citing persistently high fuel costs. It remains unclear whether those routes will return. Passengers affected by the latest postponement will be contacted directly by the relevant airline.
