FAA Certifies Gogo Galileo HDX on Textron Citation Longitude and Latitude

Textron Aviation has received FAA certification for Gogo Galileo HDX low-Earth-orbit connectivity on its Cessna Citation Longitude and Citation Latitude business jets. Factory-new aircraft delivered from 2028 will be eligible for no-charge installation, while customers selecting the system will receive a preferred worldwide service rate guaranteed for three years.

The Wichita-based manufacturer is offering the Eutelsat OneWeb-powered system as a factory-supported alternative to conventional geostationary-satellite connectivity. Textron describes the integration as the first such factory option offered by an original-equipment manufacturer.

Galileo HDX uses an electronically steered antenna mounted on the fuselage and is designed to provide lower-latency connectivity than traditional GEO systems. Maximum download speed is reported at up to 60 Mbps, although actual performance will vary by route and network conditions.

Service pricing includes a three-year unlimited plan at $10,500 per month, or monthly options of $3,500 for 25 GB and $7,000 for 50 GB. Overage is priced at $215 per GB. The certification confirms the approved installation on the two Citation models but does not establish a retrofit programme for aircraft already delivered.
