ITA Airways will relocate its Naples–Milan Linate flights to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport during the planned closure of Naples Capodichino Airport in November 2026. The airline will replace its Naples–Rome air service with a bus connection, keeping Milan-bound passengers on flights while moving Rome-bound travellers to road transport during the runway works.
Naples Capodichino is scheduled to close from 1 to 30 November for renovation of its runway and associated taxiway connections. The temporary arrangements are intended to preserve connectivity for passengers in the Naples area while the airport is unavailable.
The Salerno–Milan Linate route is already operated by ITA Airways, and the November schedule is expected to reach as many as five daily frequencies. The shift will give Salerno a larger role in serving the Campania region during the month-long disruption, although the airport is located south-east of Naples and requires a surface transfer for passengers travelling from the city.
The precise timetable for the Rome bus service, including departure points and journey times, has not been disclosed. Passengers with affected bookings will need to check the latest itinerary details before travelling.
